This is the ferry that took us from Black's Harbor in New Brunswick to Grand Manan Island where we attended an Elderhostel program on birds, wildflowers, and tide pools. This ferry is so large it can hold several semi's as well as a large number of cars,campers, and RV's.

We saw several covered bridges on this trip. This one is in St. Martins, New Brunswick. Diana was especially interested in the metric measurement signs. She will probably use this in the next edition of her math textbooks.

At a restaurant in St. Martins, New Brunswick, we had a view of these sea caves. They have been carved out of the sandstone by the action of the waves.

One morning in Hopewell Cape, New Brunswick I came across an adult Woodchuck and three juveniles. This juvenile sat up and posed.

At Hopewell Cape, New Brunswick, we stayed at a bed and breakfast. The owner's beautiful white cat had one blue eye and one yellow eye. This is not uncommon in white cats.

Hopewell Rocks Park is along the Bay of Fundy where the highest tides in the world occur. This is a picture of the rocks at low tide. The people in the picture give you some perspective of the size of the rocks. These formations have been carved out of the sandstone by the action of the waves.

This is a photo of the same rock formations at high tide. When we were there, high tide was 41 feet (12.5 meters). There are places in the bay of Fundy where high tide is over 50 feet.
