Jan. 9, 2022 - Florida - Cultivated Flowers

Here are some of the cultivated flowers that we saw on our recent trip to Sanibel, Florida. Hibiscus is a common landscaping plant on Sanibel Island. This one was photographed at the Over Easy Café.

Bougainvillea was also planted at the Over Easy Café.

The cottages where we stayed had several Bromeliad plants and this one was blooming while we were there.

There was a large shrub near the pool at the cottages and it was covered with these pink flowers. I submitted this photo to a Facebook plant identification page, and they could only identify it to the species level (Dombeya).

This West Indian Jasmine plant was also growing near the cottages.

Another flower seen by the cottages was identified by the Facebook group as Spicy Jatropha.
