Oct. 24, 2021 - Fall Flower Show

The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory at Como Park in St. Paul, MN, sets up several seasonal flower shows each year. The Fall Flower Show is just opening, and it features many varieties of Chrysanthemums. Here’s the view as you enter the sunken garden room.

Ornamental pepper plants are used throughout the display to provide a splash of color.

Another interesting plant has small pumpkin-shaped fruit on bare branches. Its common name is, appropriately, Pumpkin on a Stick.

This shot shows how much these little fruits resemble pumpkins. With Halloween only a week away, this is a very timely plant to include in the show.
