This is a continuation of the owl family story I started last week. While the baby owls were still small, one adult would stay with them while the other adult went off hunting for food.
On February 22, the babies were getting quite large. They are still covered with their baby down feathers but, as I’ll show you next week, their wing feathers were developing.
I was fortunate to be able to watch one adult feeding the two babies. We can’t see what was on the menu that day but notice one of the young ones eagerly reaching out to get the food.
