We just returned from our annual trip to Minnesota’s North Shore. The fall color season has started but it hasn’t reached its peak yet. Here’s a view of some colorful maples along the Honeymoon Trail in Cook County.
The Honeymoon Trail is narrow and sometimes it takes a vertical photo to give the right perspective.
I like fall color photos that include some green leaves along with the brilliant red and orange ones. This photo was taken on Park Hill Road in Lake county.
On Park Hill Road I found groups of trees like these where the color change was almost complete.
The colors of this branch stand out because of the evergreen trees behind it. This is another photo from along the Honeymoon Trail.
A panoramic view, like this one taken along the Sawbill Trail, shows trees in various stages of color change. Both Diana and I were drawn to the brilliant red tree in the lower left of this photo.
