Fall color season has ended in Minnesota but here’s one more set of these colorful photos. County Road 38 north of Grand Rapids, MN, is well known for putting on a spectacular show of color each fall. Diana and I took a drive along that road a few weeks ago and saw scenes like this one.

It’s always fun to catch the leaves in the middle of their transition to red and orange. You get really interesting patterns of red and green on each individual leaf. This photo was taken at the Laurentian Divide rest area on County Road 38. This spot is noteworthy because north of here, water flows to Hudson Bay, and south of here, it flows to Lake Superior.

At our lake home, I like to go down to the dock in the morning before the wind picks up. The trees across the bay are reflected in the still water.

From our bedroom window, we can see a small maple tree with its yellow leaves mixed in with the white trunks of the birch trees.

While some trees were still green, the northwest corner of our lake produced some beautiful red, orange, and yellow highlights.
