Last Friday I went to Wakulla Springs State Park which is south of Tallahassee. Bird photos were hard to come by, so I took pictures of flowers instead. This is an Azalea.
I’m not sure if this Camellia is considered a tree or a shrub but it was just loaded with blossoms. They generally don’t grow more than about 20 feet tall.
And here is a deep pink Camellia. I was also interested in seeing how the shape and arrangement of the petals is quite different from the Japanese variety.
