Aug. 13, 2017 - Wildflowers
Read MoreIn Spring, 2015, Jeff Poenix, a friend of ours, created a wildflower garden for us at our home in northern Minnesota. It can take a couple of years for a new wildflower garden to really establish itself. So, the first year, the only flowers that bloomed were Brown-eyed Susans. Two years later, we’re starting to see more variety. This is Tall Cinquefoil.

We have only a few of these Long-headed Coneflowers but we’re hoping they spread.

Here’s a pretty little purple flower that we haven’t yet identified. It’s quite small, probably less than one-half inch across. If you know what it is, please let us know. This spotted white flower is another one that we haven’t identified. I could use some help with that one, too.
8/18/17 – Diana found this one in one of her wildflower books. It’s called Rough Bedstraw.
