    One question....did you call the magnolia in? I'm just starting to use my i pod with a speaker to get better photos of some birds. My greatest surprise was a mourning warbler that came zipping in when I played a goshawk call.

    HI Earl,
    I saw my first ebony jewel wing while walking the canoe down a small stream in Quetico Provincial Park. Like you, I found it strikingly beautiful, with its velvety black wings and iridescent emerald green body. Your photo is wonderful!
    Great pics of the ravens, also.

    I'm glad I'm not a baby Magnolia Warbler; that caterpillar looks a little too juicy for my taste! But I love the backgrounds on these photos, especially the green fern leaves on the Ebony Jewelwing, and, of course, your "stomach-eye" view of the Lupine!
