October 12, 2008 - Rock Arch at Tettegouche State Park
Read MoreTettegouche State Park is near the place where we stayed on our North Shore trip. We were due to have a full moon on one of the days we were there. Paul Sundberg, one of my photographer friends, told me about this rock arch at Tettegouche Park. He said if I was one the beach by the arch, the full moon would rise near it. I went there during the day so I would be sure of how to find it. Here is what it looks like during the day.
I went back on the evening of September 15, the night of the full moon. It was cloudy, so I couldn’t see the moon coming over the horizon. There was a small window of open sky and the moon finally appeared right above the arch. I was able to get several shots before it disappeared again behind the clouds.
