Dark-eyed Juncos are also migrating through our area. This was taken at our home in northern Minnesota. I put a log with several branches in the middle of our yard and sprinkled bird seed around it. Often birds will land on the branches before jumping down to the ground to feed. The colored leaves (and some green ones as well) are far enough back so they are blurred out when I focus on the bird. That creates a pastel, watercolor effect as a background.
