This is the Crooked River Lighthouse, located near Carrabelle Beach, Florida. It was built in 1895 to replace a lighthouse on Dog Island. That lighthouse was destroyed during a hurricane in 1873. The current lighthouse was decommissioned in 1995. The Carrabelle Lighthouse Association was formed to preserve and restore it. It’s open to the public; you can climb to the top, via the stairs in the central column, on Saturdays and Sundays for a small fee.
