I attended a photography workshop in Kissimmee, FL, and was able to get some close shots of a Bald Eagle nest. This nest was only about 50 feet from a well-traveled road and the Eagles were not bothered by people being around. Eagle nests can be huge and I was close enough that I couldn’t get the whole thing in one frame. Imagine the size of an Eagle, though, and you get an idea of how big this nest is. The tiny black speck just below the Eagles beak is a fly. I’m sure there are plenty of things in an Eagle nest that will attract flies.
