Dec. 30, 2012 - Holiday Lights in the Park

For the holiday season, members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers set up a colorful display of lights in Phalen Park which is located in St. Paul, MN. Diana and I went to see it this week. Here’s Santa and a couple of his reindeer.

There is a $10 charge to drive through and all net proceeds are split between four local charities. This underwater scene was pretty clever. Notice the two small fish kissing (below the green octopus). Too bad there was a tree blocking part of the view.

This is a really cute crab.

It sure looks like this scuba diver is gliding through the water.

One of the larger displays was this sunken pirate ship. You can see the hole in the hull that caused it to sink.

My favorite (and Diana’s, too) was the school of fish studying math.

If you are in the Twin Cities area you’ll have to hurry if you want to see the display because it only goes through January 1.
