I only saw one Cattle Egret at the Alligator Farm. Note the faint tan color of the feathers on its forehead. That is just the very beginning of its breeding plumage. Full breeding plumage includes beautiful tan color on the top of the head, back, and breast. The bill and legs turn red and the area around the eyes becomes purple. Other large wading birds that I saw included Wood Stork, Roseate Spoonbill, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, and White Ibis.
